Trouser Fitting Masterclass - 9/11/24-10/11/24
Trouser Fitting Masterclass - 9/11/24-10/11/24
After the success of our previous Trouser Fitting Masterclass we are delighted to have another date in the diary.
Of all the reasons to make clothes - the sustainability, the creativity, the resourcefulness - there’s one that’s all about you. Every body has its own unique shape, and there’s nothing more beautiful than having your clothes made just for you.
On this workshop you will learn how to make a trouser pattern fit your body. Across two classes, we’ll introduce you to a range of fit adjustment techniques to help get the best fit possible. We’ll start by taking accurate measurements so that we can adjust the patterns accordingly. We’ll then use your body as the mannequin to get the final fit. You’ll learn techniques which you can then apply to a whole range of sewing patterns.
When: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th November 2024 (10.30am till 3.30pm)

Is this masterclass open to beginners?
Yes, we are welcoming all levels on this masterclass. However, we advise some experience of making your own clothes in order to get the most out of this class. We will form a supportive, encouraging, creative environment for one another.
Is this masterclass open to all genders?
The pattern blocks we will be using stem from women’s wear. Our workshop is open to women, non-binary people and members of the trans community who want help fitting garments to the lower half of their body. If we have enough interest we will run a separate masterclass for men.
What about food and accommodation?
We’ll provide the tea, coffee and sweet treats
If you are visiting Bristol from out of town, we have a handy guide full of top tips here, incliuding lots of cafes and tasty spots nearby for lunch
We have decided to ask participants to make their own accommodation arrangements on this occasion. There is a beautiful boutique hotel next door to the studio called Artist Residence if you feel like treating yourself.
What is your cancellation policy?
